First Aid

First Aid:INHALATION: REMOVE TO FRESH AIR. GIVE ARTIFICIAL RESPIRATION
IF NOT BREATHING. KEEP VICTIM WARM & AT REST. OBTAIN MEDICAL
ATTENTION IN ALL CASES. PHYSICIAN NOTE: SUPPORTIVE TREATMENT SHOULD
INCLUDE IM MEDIATE SEDATION/ANTI-CONVULSIVE THERAPY/REST. ALL
INDIVIDUALS EXPOSED FOR LONG PERIODS TO OXYGEN AT HIGH PRESSURE &
ALL WHO EXHIBIT OVERT OXYGEN TOXICITY SHOULD HAVE OPHTHALMOLOGIC
EXAMINATIONS.

Fire Fighting

Extinguishing Media:USE MEDIA APPROPRIATE FOR SURROUNDING FIRE. WATER
IS THE PREFERRED EXTINGUISHING MEDIA FOR CLOTHING FIRES.
Fire Fighting Procedures:EVACUATE ALL PERSONNEL FROM DANGER AREA. COOL
CONTAINERS W/WATER SPRAY FROM MAXIMUM DISTANCE UNTIL COOL, THEN
MOVE CONTAINERS AWAY FROM FIRE AREA SAFELY.
Unusual Fire/Explosion Hazard:CONTACT W/FLAMMABLE MATERIAL MAY CAUSE
FIRE/EXPLOSION. CONTAINER MAY RUPTURE DUE TO HEAT OF FIRE OR
REVERSE FLOW INTO CYLINDER. COMBUSTIBLE/HIGH PRESSURE GAS.

Accidental Release

Spill Release Procedures:SHUT OFF LEAK IF W/OUT RISK. VENTILATE AREA OF
LEAK OR MOVE LEAKING CONTAINER TO WELL-VENTILATED AREA. REMOVE ALL
FLAMMABLE MATERIALS FROM VICINITY. IF THERE IS A LEAK, CLOSE
CYLINDER VALVE/BLOW DOWN SYSTEM BY VENTING TO SAFE PLACE/REPAIR
THE LEAK.

Handling and Storage Precautions:NEVER LUBRICATE OXYGEN
VALVES/REGULATORS/ETC. W/ANY COMBUSTIBLE SUBSTANCE. DON'T USE
OXYGEN JET TO CLEAN, INCREASES DANGER OF ENGULFING FIRE.
Other Precautions:USE ONLY W/EQUIPMENT CONDITIONED FOR OXYGEN SERVICE.
OXYGEN MUST NEVER BE PERMITTED TO STRIKE AN OILY SURFACE/GREASY
CLOTHES/OTHER COMBUSTIBLE MATERIAL. ISOLATE FROM IGNITION SOURCES.
USE CHECK VALVE IN ANY LINE OF PIPING FROM CYLINDER.
